Skin Needling is one of our favourite treatments for supporting long-term skin health and longevity. Skin Needling uses a TGA approved device that delivers 1000’s of micro channels to the skin. These micro channels trigger a cascade of events within your skin resulting in rejuvenation, scar revision, pigment and capillary regulation and general skin health.

We’re not going to lie, it is a little uncomfortable, especially over the forehead and around the eyes. The plus side is the actual needling process of the treatment is over within 5- 10 minutes.
Post treatment feels a little like sunburn, tight, hot and little itchy or stingy. This can last for 24 to 48 hours, but generally resolves within 12 hrs.

Skin Needling is beneficial for a myriad of skin conditions. The philosophy behind needling is that we are stimulating a specific response within the skin and there are a few different responses achieved through depth variation.
This is why Skin Needling is beneficial for multiple skin conditions throughout the layers of your skin. Just to list a few; Congestion, Acne, Sun Damage Pigmentation, Melasma Pigmentation, Fine lines and Wrinkles, Elasticity, Pore Size, Capillaries, Rosacea, dehydration and more.

Skin needling is performed every 4-6 weeks, depending on your skin and our desired outcomes.
Again, depending on what we are trying to achieve, we can be looking at 6 to 8 sessions and then maintenance.

We love this little analogy;
When you do a 12 week body transformation challenge and achieve your goals, would you stop exercising after the challenge was complete? (yes, some of us are guilty of this) but the answer should be no. We need to maintain the results that have been achieved. This is the same for your skin.
But, the good news is that if you are diligent with your home routine and sun protection 2 to 3 needling sessions per year are enough to maintain the results and prevent the natural decline in collagen.

Bio Micro Needling is using fresh water Bio Spicules. These spicules are microscopic and shaped like a tiny needle. These spicules are then meticulously massaged and pressed into your skin. Once embedded, the Spicules stimulate a micro repair response within your skin, optimising the communication between the cells in both your epidermis and dermis.
This promotes overall skin health and optimal functionality.

The process of massaging the Spicules in to your skin feels scratchy, like a very course exfoliation. It does get a little sensitive but not painful.
Post treatment feels similar to needling, hot, tingly and when pressed or touched a little prickly.
The Spicules take around 2-3 days to shed from your skin. Once shedded, your skin feels normal again with no prickles.

Bio Micro needling is best for skins that need epidermal regeneration and their skin health optimised.
We love this for a starting regenerative treatment before we go into skin needling.
Spicules area fantastic for treating Pigmentation, Acne/ Congestion, and skins that need a pick me up.

Spicules are best done in 3-4 session groups. this is where we see the best clinical progress.
Of course, depending on what we are targeting, after you complete the course of 3-4, we might then go onto something else to continue delivering exceptional skin results.
These treatments are best done 2-3 weeks apart.

Spicules are a little different to Skin needling in this way and purely depends on your skin and what we were targeting in the beginning. This is a treatment that can be performed periodically for maintenance however, the best results are also seen in the course of 3-4. This might mean having 1-2 courses per year.

When your skin is ready for more, RF Microneedling combines precision microneedling with controlled radiofrequency energy to stimulate renewal deeper within the skin. Tiny needles create precise treatment points while RF energy is delivered at carefully selected depths, encouraging collagen remodelling and helping to improve firmness, texture and overall skin quality.
It’s an advanced treatment for skin concerns including loss of firmness, fine lines, enlarged pores, uneven texture, acne scarring and stretch marks, and can be customised to the depth and needs of your skin. Unlike a traditional facial or standard skin needling treatment, this is about creating a deeper stimulus for meaningful skin remodelling over time.

Downtime is generally minimal, although your skin may be red, warm or slightly swollen immediately afterwards and can feel similar to a mild sunburn. Your skin will continue its renewal process after treatment, with improvements developing progressively as collagen remodelling takes place.

There is no one-size-fits-all course. Your treatment frequency will depend on your skin, the results we are aiming for and the depth of treatment required. For collagen remodelling and concerns such as scarring or textural change, we may recommend a course of treatments spaced several weeks apart, followed by maintenance when appropriate. We will map this out with you.
